Summarising: Why CYBID’s V-SIM Platform Stands Out?
1. Advanced Visualisation
V-SIM converts raw data from Leica RTC360/BLK360 laser scans, drones, and CCTV into high-fidelity, interactive 3D environments.
Supports cinematic outputs and timeline-based storyboards for courtroom-ready presentations, which other forensic software do not emphasise at the same level.
2. Scientific Simulation Engine
Built-in physics engine for dynamic event modelling: multi-vehicle collisions, pedestrian impacts, blast scenarios, and more.
Includes biomechanical analysis and human body numerical models (MULTIBODY), enabling realistic pedestrian and passenger simulations—far beyond the static diagrams typical of FARO Zone or Trimble Reveal.
3. Immersive Virtual Reality
V-SIM integrates VR for scene walkthroughs, training, and courtroom storytelling, allowing stakeholders to experience the reconstructed environment interactively.
FARO and Trimble offer 3D visualisation but lack native VR immersion as part of their core forensic workflow.
4. Modular Architecture
Dedicated modules: CRIME, CRASH, plus VR and Photorect for photogrammetry.
Scalable for agencies of different sizes and case complexities, unlike FARO Zone’s more rigid feature set or Trimble’s hardware-centric approach.
5. Integration with Leica Ecosystem
Seamless compatibility with Leica Geosystems hardware ensures data integrity and workflow efficiency, reducing conversion steps common with the setups other forensic software providers.
The Forensic Software Suite by Leica Geosystems and CYBID is a groundbreaking offering for accident, crime, and fire investigators, as well as reconstructionists. With its advanced tools and capabilities, this suite sets a new standard for forensic investigations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and comprehensive analysis at every stage. As technology evolves, the Forensic Software Suite will undoubtedly expand its applications, offering even more innovative solutions for these critical fields.
