An official opening ceremony took place at Leica Geosystems’ new machine control factory on Thursday, September 25 in Odense, Denmark. Jürgen Dold, President and CEO of Leica Geosystems as well as Thomas Harring (COO &CFO) and Richard Wenk (CTO) were all present as Machine Control Division President Johan Arnberg officially opened the day by warmly welcoming guests. Mr. Arnberg spoke about the importance of machine control management in ever increasing infrastructure projects worldwide, after which the new facility was inaugurated by Jürgen Dold and Odense’s Mayor Anker Boye.
Following the opening ceremony lunch, events were specifically planned for approximately 50 customers present from various countries. A factory tour of the administration, assembly and warehouse as well as machine demonstrations were given. Three round table discussions were held in the areas of on-machine, off-machine and software solutions.
